The right to speak one's mind is a freedom that many have fought for...And some have died for. I get a fair amout of negative comments and tho some sting a little, I feel anyone that visits justajim.com deserves to see the truth. Be it good or bad, I've made sure to post EVERY guestbook posting. The way things are getting I MAY refuse a few select posts although as of 4/28/12, I've declined none. The music "biz" can be a tough beast and you need to have thick skin. I put myself out there in so many ways musically I knew I'd eventually be a target. Admittedly, it'd be great if the negativity were confined to my music as this is indeed a music site. But if you have no life of your own & wish to hide behind your keyboard, mouse & monitor to attack personal aspects of my life to make yourself feel better, it's OK...I'm a big boy & I can take it. You can't please all of the people all of the time. The postings offer different views of how I'm perceived by the public...Good, bad or indifferent. Feel free to make your own assessment...

I hope this answers the many that ask me why the HELL I approve the comments filled with so much negativity from some...I hope.

This is why you won't take me down. Go ahead...Laugh. It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile.

This site gets 20~30 hits a day. I wonder how many are from folks that like me opposed to those that don't. It's good to know I provide entertainment to both.

  • Big Jim, Yes, "Rainbow In the Dark" Was a big part of my life. Ronnie James Dio is the only performer I've seen in concert more than once. He truly connected with the audience, and I guess, technically, still does through his music.

    Jim, there was a valid reason MHZ kicked your ass outta the band! You, for one had your own insistence of direction of MHZ plus drama to contend with one of which being on having broken up your current girlfriend's marriage. Jesus, man! You could win an Oscar for Family Friend Act of the Year for 2008, hehehe! We ALL know the shit you pulled that year with the family outings, holiday get-togethers and so forth! Surprised much that you and your g/f are the subject of many discussions not to mention the disgrace of the scene, especially that of MHZ?! Tell ya, the guys were saints for keeping ya as long as they fuckin' did! Now this begs the question: WHY wasn't this years sooner you getting axed?????? Well better late than never!

    I don't generally follow Karmic so I wasn't at the Cooks gig just before Easter weekend but..even if the ex-MHZ singer and his woman were talking about Jim, who gives two shits?! As long as nothing bad was being said don't think about it too much. People in general trash talk when they just need to bitch it out - that's just the way it is. Also when one loses respect for another.
